Privacy Policy

1. App Overview

VocoBill is a voice-first billing application for kirana and small retail stores, developed by Affan Khan (Affan.Tech). This policy explains how data is handled.

2. Billing Data Storage

VocoBill is designed as an offline-first app. Core billing data you enter, such as shop details, catalog edits, customer entries, and bill history, is stored locally on your device.

We do not upload your billing content to our servers, including:

• Customer names or customer phone numbers
• Bill line items and transaction history
• Product prices and custom catalog values
• Your shop name, address, or invoice content

3. Voice and Microphone

VocoBill uses microphone permission only for speech-to-text commands. Speech handling is performed by Android speech recognition services with offline preference. Depending on your device and language-pack availability, recognition may run on-device or via the system speech provider's network path. We do not store raw audio recordings on our servers.

4. Licensing and Security Checks

For trial/subscription validation, the app sends limited licensing data to affan.tech, including hashed device identifier/device code and, when applicable, the entered license key. This is used for trial anchoring, heartbeat checks, block/revoke status, and anti-abuse control.

5. WhatsApp Sharing

When you choose WhatsApp sharing, bill text is handed directly to the WhatsApp app on your device. We do not intercept or store that bill content.

6. Third-Party Services

• Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics may collect diagnostics such as device model, OS version, app version, crashes, and basic usage events to improve app reliability.
• A time-check request may be sent to a public time service to detect major device clock tampering affecting licensing logic.

7. Data Deletion

You can remove local billing data by uninstalling the app or using in-app data tools. We may retain minimal licensing records on our server (for example hashed device and license status). To request deletion of licensing records, contact support with your device code.

8. Children's Privacy

VocoBill is intended for adults running retail businesses. We do not knowingly build this service for children under 13.
